More than 500 volunteers give their time and energy to transform lives, one wish at a time. Volunteers are involved in multiple capacities and are an integral part of granting wishes.
Whether you can give a few hours or few days, you can grant the wishes of children in our community when you volunteer for Make-A-Wish Mid-South. Most volunteers are at least 21-years-old and live or work in Arkansas, north Mississippi or west Tennessee.

How to become a volunteer:
1) Fill out an application
Most volunteers must be at least 18-years-old. To start the volunteering process, download, complete a volunteer application and mail or email it to Make-A-Wish Mid-South.
2) Complete volunteer training
After your paperwork is processed (this takes about two weeks), a volunteer coordinator will contact you with information about the next steps in volunteering based on the opportunities you're interested in. Training varies depending on how you're interested in becoming involved. For example, Wish Granting 101 Volunteer Training is mandatory for those interested in becoming Wish Granters. Check the calendar of events for upcoming volunteer training near you. (Attendees are asked to register in advance for Wish Granting 101.)
Please note that for most volunteer positions, a background check is necessary due to the nature of our work. You can contact us with any questions related to the background check screening process.
