Zachary was born premature with a brain malformation. Over the years they learned his condition is symptomatic, but doctors can't give them many answers or diagnoses. For Zachary, it lead to depression and challenge after challenge.
Late one night, Zachary's mom, Michelle, was searching for something that would, "give him his life back." She came across Make-A-Wish®
and referred her son for a wish.
Zachary's wish to visit the Smithsonian Museums and Washington D.C. gave him something to look forward to. "He went from saying 'I can't do anything,' to 'I'll get to go to Washington D.C.,'" said Michelle. His wish gave him something to dream about.
After the trip, Zachary said he realized he could do anything.
