Wishmakers at Work

Benefits to Your Company

By introducing a Wishmakers at Work program at your company to benefit Make-A-Wish Mid-South, you would be doing more than just a nice thing - you would be making work more purposeful and helping change the lives of everyone involved in wish experiences, forever.

Social Responsibility

Social responsibility plays an increasingly important role in advancing companies' strategic business objectives and building goodwill among employees. Employees want to know that their employer cares about the communities in which it operates, and that it is committed to making a measurable difference for those who live and work in those areas.

Seventy-three percent of Americans want their employers to do more to support a cause or social  issue.

Brand Recognition

Make-A-Wish is the world's largest wish-granting organization and stands as one of the most recognized and most trusted charities in America. Our reputation is the result of a more than 30-year commitment to granting amazing and unique wishes that change lives for wish kids, their families, and everyone else involved in the experience - more than 220,000 wishes since 1980 and around 14,000 last year alone. That's a wish granted, on average, every 38  minutes. And every wish impacts dozens, sometimes hundreds of people, forever.

Enhanced Employee Morale

Employees feel good about working for a company that demonstrates care for the community, and their direct engagement in cause-corporate programs can have a profound influence on how they view the importance and purpose of their work.

Ninety-seven percent of volunteers surveyed reported felling more grateful and thankful as a result of helping to grant a child's wish.

Increased Employee Loyalty

Rallying employees around a great cause can engender long-term commitment to the company and pride in their employer.

Eighty-one percent of employees state that a company's commitment to social issues is important when deciding where to work.

At First Tennessee the Make-A-Wish program has become the rallying point and highlight for our division each year. This year we will grant our 21st wish. Our employees dedicate their free time to prepare a world class wish granting celebration. It is a very emotional event and our employees truly appreciate the opportunity to contribute and participate in the celebration. We are proud to support such a worthy cause that brings a sense of fulfillment and instills such a sense of purpose. It is truly the highlight of our year. ”
