Q. How can I help raise funds to support wishes?
A. There are many ways to help fund wishes. Whether you are a CEO condisering a sponsorship of a major event or a third grade student coordinating a class project, our staff will provide the information and support you  need. Please browse through our Events, How to Become a Supporter, or Fundraiser Information and consider the many options for corporate, individual and student involvement.

Q. Can my financial contribution be tax deductible?
A. Yes. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. As such, financial contributions may be deductible for federal income tax purposes. Please consult with your financial advisor to determine the extent of tax deductibility.  

Q. What percentage of my donation goes directly to granting wishes?
A. Approximately 81% of every dollar you contribute to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South is used directly to help grant wishes. This percentage far exceeds the standard upheld by organizations monitoring the work of charities.

Q. What are the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South’s sources of funding?
A. Funding for wishes comes from individual contributions, special events, corporate donations, organizations, foundation grants and planned giving. Each chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is responsible for raising and managing the funds needed to grant the wishes within their territory. We also utilize and greatly appreciate in-kind donations of goods and services.

Q. How can I make a contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South?
A. All donations support the Foundations ability to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Making a cash donation to the Foundation is simple. Please click one of the following links for donation information: donate by mail or donate online.

Q. Are there other ways I can help to support wishes?
A. The Make-A-Wish Foundation offers opportunities to join our mission in various volunteer capacities. Visit our Volunteer Center for listings. We also offer Special Programs for individuals, corporations, students and schools which we can help you customize and execute your fundraising initiatives. The Foundation is also appreciative of a donation of professional pro bono services including graphic design, photography, and marketing and communications counsel.
