Mission

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Since 1986, the Mid-South Chapter has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.

Our chapter volunteers are part of a nationwide network of 25,000 caring people dedicated to making wishes come true. Although it has become one of the world’s most well-known charities, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has maintained the grassroots fulfillment of its mission to serve children with life-threatening medical conditions. Volunteers serve as wish granters, fundraisers, special events assistants and in numerous other capacities.

As the Mid-South Chapter continues to grow, its mission will remain the same. Wish children of the past, present and future will have an opportunity to share the power of a wish®.

Chi Omega chapters have volunteered more than 139,000 hours. To date, Chi Omega has raised more than $2.3 million for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and granted more than 350 wishes.
